April Update for 2021

We are thrilled to announce that we have received funding thanks to the government’s #CultureRecoveryFund. We can continue to be here for you and #HereForCulture.

This funding is important to support our organisation and provides essential funds to enable us to continue with planning our festival over the coming months, pay for essential services and support our industry’s supply chain. We appreciate how fortunate we are to receive this funding, though our thoughts are also with festivals who may still be facing huge uncertainty or who have already taken the decision to postpone for 2021.

At the moment, we are cautiously making plans, but excitedly preparing to welcome you back to Underneath the Stars Festival at Cinderhill Farm this Summer.

However, as with all festivals this year, we should expect them to look and feel a little different, and ours is no exception.

We have to let you know that due to the uncertainty of international touring this summer, two of our international artists, Suzanne Vega and The East Pointers are unable to join us in 2021, but have already rescheduled for 2022. The vast majority of our other artists have pledged to return this summer and we shall announce the 2021 line-up, including new bookings, as soon as we are able.

One thing is certain, it’s been such a difficult year for the music industry but we are absolutely looking forward to getting back to creating events and experiences in our corner of Yorkshire, supporting artists and working with our brilliant team of crew and volunteers.
