Festival Postponement

Dear Stargazers… It is with great regret and very heavy hearts that we have decided to postpone this year’s Underneath the Stars Festival until next year.

The new dates will be 30th July – 1st August 2021.

We take the health and safety of our wonderful guests, artists, staff, volunteers and community very seriously and considering recent government announcements and all the uncertainty about when restrictions might be lifted, we believe this is the right thing to do.

Your ticket options are below. Please can we kindly ask you to complete our online form by clicking the button at the bottom of these options in order to let us know your preference:

1. Rollover your tickets to 2021
This option would help the festival enormously and support us as we take a pause until next year. If your circumstances change over the coming months, we would still honour a refund until such time as tickets go back on sale for 2021.

2. Full refund
We will refund the full value of the tickets less the £2 transaction fee.

3. Donation ticket value to the festival
A few of you lovely people have already indicated this might be an option for you; your donation would directly help the organisation with on-going costs as we take a pause until next year. With this option your 2020 tickets will be cancelled and you would need to rebook for 2021. We will offer an early booking window to these customers.

4. Partial donation to the festival
Please select this option if you would like to make a small donation to the festival and the balance will be refunded to you, less the £2 transaction fee. With this option your 2020 tickets will be cancelled and you will need to rebook for 2021. We will offer an early booking window to these customers.

In addition, we will be running a fundraising campaign on Just Giving to raise funds towards covering the costs of the 2020 postponement. We will add all donations made from existing ticket purchases as updates on the just giving page. Whilst we have limited our financial exposure as far as possible, we have already made some investment in the 2020 event and infrastructure, as well as having ongoing day-to-day running costs.

Rest assured that all monies raised will be put straight back into supporting and developing the festival, this campaign forms part of a broader fundraising effort and we are looking to apply for help through multiple sources.

In order to stage the festival we had planned for this year, it is our intention, where possible, to move as many artists over and keep as many things the same for 2021. We firmly believe this is a pause, not a cancellation. With your support and our determination, we will be back in 2021 shining brighter than ever before!

Underneath the Stars Festival is run by a Community Interest Company and we are dedicated to providing a diverse range of high quality music and performing arts, in a fair, inclusive and sustainable manner. We are committed to bringing music, creativity, culture and joy to our cosy corner of South Yorkshire. We cannot do this without you.
